The University of Oklahoma's Summer Music Camp is designed for students graduating from grades 9-12 and offers pre-collegiate experiences working with university artist/academic-faculty and outstanding secondary school teachers on the beautiful campus and in the world-class music facilities of the University of Oklahoma. The daily schedule includes rehearsals, master classes, section rehearsals, and music electives such as conducting, careers in music education, and string chamber music (music theory and jazz improvisation may be offered). Most students will also have the option of Applied lessons. Outstanding and motivated high school musicians from Oklahoma, Texas, and other surrounding states typically attend the camp.
All-State students are eligible to receive $ 100 scholarship. The OU Summer Music Camp provides an opportunity to perform challenging repertoire with other talented high school students while making friends and professional contacts for the future!
